The brief: transform the basement (formerly the wine cellar of a neighbouring auction house) into a bright and beautiful, whilst fully functional, ensuite Master Bedroom/Dressing/Bathroom area.

The warm colours and textures of the seating atrium make for a relaxing welcoming area that leads both into the Master Bedroom and the cool clean bathroom. There is a subtle Far Eastern feel to much of the décor with oriental-patterned cushions fringed in green which echo both the lampshades and side table.

Large hidden sliding doors open and lead up to the bathroom enabling the rooms to flow into each other seamlessly. The bathroom was reconfigured to provide an elegant, clean bright space with dressing area, ample clothes storage and transparent bathroom giving a very open feel to the area accentuated by clever lighting.

Both the shelving and drawer unit that separates the bathroom from the dressing area as well as the mirrored wall of cupboards and drawers have been painstakingly designed to house every item of clothing from shoes to scarves. Soft-touch closing drawers with faux suede lining to show drawers – nothing has been left to chance.

The piece de resistance has to be the show-stopping chandelier wallpaper hung in such a way that it reflects perfectly across the whole of the back wall, and more! This gives the perfect back drop to the stunning dressing table in warm oak.
