The brief: sleek modern pieces that the client could take with him when he moves on. Scandinavian is definitely the theme both in terms of colour and look.

The living room benefits from very high ceilings which were perfect for the adjustable floor lamp that perches over the industrial style coffee table, another strong design influence in this apartment. The dark cotton fabric of the sofa is lifted with the masculine Saville-Row-like fabric of the cushions and the vibrant red piping, red being used again for the side cushions and the rich wool rug.

The soft grey swivel chairs are home to more pin-stripe cushions (this time with a green satin back-cloth) and they literally round off this cosy seating area. Clever shelving units (all detachable) flank each side of the fireplace whilst a chest of drawers, again industrial in feel, is the ideal place for the two tall elegant burnished silver table lights.

Moving down to the basement, we come to the guest bedroom. An Asian-feel gloss cabinet sits at the end of the bed providing storage and the colour scheme for the rest of the room takes it queue from the beautiful eau de nil colour of the wood glaze. Specially made 100% linen cushions pick up the tone perfectly and the same linen is used to line the faux fur bed-throw.

On either side of the bed each light has a fully flexible arm that can be attached to the table itself. The Master Bedroom continues this Nordic clean-cut style with the chair and footstool flanked with both table and floor lamp. In this room the bed-throw is in pure linen and the two large cushions in pure white, making for a bright clean finish.
